The things to see in Sălaj county are less well known than those of its neighbours, but they are not lacking: the Roman fort of Porolissum near Moigrad, the Botanical Garden in Jibou, the rock formations of the Grădina Zmeilor reserve and the wooden churches of the villages, close relatives of those in Maramureș.
