About Drumul Taberei Park

Drumul Taberei Park is the main green space of the neighbourhood of the same name, in Sector 6, between Drumul Taberei boulevard, Brașov street and Târgu Neamț street. It was laid out in the 1960s, together with the first blocks of the neighbourhood, and in the communist era it was called Alexandru Moghioroș Park. Between 2013 and 2015 it was rebuilt from scratch; it reopened on 30 May 2015 and the greenhouses were inaugurated in 2019. It covers around 11–12 hectares.

At its centre lies an artificial lake of about 1.2 hectares, with a landing stage for boats, pedal boats and swan boats. On a peninsula in the lake rises the red pylon of the cable-stayed footbridge (the Bengaules Bridge), almost 192 metres long, a landmark of the park and the neighbourhood.

Information verified on 26 October 2026.

Don't miss
  • The cable-stayed footbridge with a red pylon, almost 192 m long, above the lake.
  • The lake in the middle of the park, with boats, pedal boats and swan boats.

  • The stepped amphitheatre at the edge of the lake.
