About Valea Cărbunării Ski Jumps

The Olympic ski jumping base in the Valea Cărbunării valley lies on the southern edge of the town of Râșnov and has four hills, with K-points at 90, 64, 35 and 15 m. Râșnov's first ski jump was built in 1936; today's complex came later: the small hills between 2009 and 2011, for the 2013 European Youth Olympic Festival, and the large K90 hill was brought into use in 2012. The land belongs to the town, and the investment was made with public funds and a private partner.

World Cup events for women (from 2014) and for men (from 2020), FIS Cup events and, every year since 2022, Summer Grand Prix events on plastic mats are held here. The hills have floodlights for evening competitions, snowmaking for winter and a chairlift that climbs the slope next to the inruns.

Information verified on 3 November 2026.
